Ice expected in the early am. I remember a few years ago we had an ice storm in October. I lost about 15 fruit trees that night. While I was looking out the living room window at all the damage, my favorite cherry tree uprooted right before my eyes. My heart broke that morning. It was so idyllic and majestic.

So sorry about your favorite tree. But, very glad your home wasn't hurt in the process. Thank goodness for such wonderful friends to lend a helping hand, or paw. ;) I'm in love with Brutus - my, he's so handsome!!! Wish I could reach through the computer screen and rub his velvety soft ears.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07416943223679138624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2508235741976693989.post-73956726615285264922012-01-16T09:29:48.863-05:002012-01-16T09:29:48.863-05:00We just got our winter too. It sounds like a lovely day with all the unexpected situation and wonderful friends coming by. I love "the memorable scent of chainsaw oil, sawdust and snow" and "tea and hot chocolate with warm foamy milk. the sky was bright and the air was cold. and the house was warm". Such lovely images, smells and feelings. I miss you!In My Wild Edenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10943196871279605031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2508235741976693989.post-45735680364847025112012-01-15T21:56:54.216-05:002012-01-15T21:56:54.216-05:00WOW! You ended up, on what could have been an ordinary winters day, albeit a tree on the roof!, surrounded by the love, care and fellowship of your friends. The cherry on the cake is the fact that you now have lots of wood for next winters fires.Rosemaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03814070177137076757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2508235741976693989.post-2909220212210915752012-01-14T19:40:24.930-05:002012-01-14T19:40:24.930-05:00it was truly a glorious day. and good night lovel...it was truly a glorious day. and good night lovely demie. i hope you dream beautiful dreams.chasing lightning bugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09827256072196695717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2508235741976693989.post-77858526462558800622012-01-14T19:39:07.644-05:002012-01-14T19:39:07.644-05:00we are too. i hope you're having a wonderful ...we are too. i hope you're having a wonderful and relaxed football watching weekend, jen.chasing lightning bugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09827256072196695717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2508235741976693989.post-35207803076324147482012-01-14T18:19:08.425-05:002012-01-14T18:19:08.425-05:00i adore the fact that you call this day a wonderfu...i adore the fact that you call this day a wonderful day... thats says a lot about you. the way you look at things. they way you live them.

thank God for your lovely porch : )

...and now i `m going to bed, my frienderleichdahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02471341634223594648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2508235741976693989.post-74206305238168211892012-01-14T17:53:45.514-05:002012-01-14T17:53:45.514-05:00I'm so glad your dear porch wasn't damaged...I'm so glad your dear porch wasn't damaged!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09606982492407185097noreply@blogger.com
