i just discovered that my holiday napkins were featured in one of the hgtv blogs. this particular pair that they featured is sold, but there are certainly more in the studio. and i'm working away, making many more sets. check out the blog to see other delightful items from etsy and elsewhere to make your holiday season festively vintage. my online sales are through etsy. but i also sell from my studio and various local retail shops.
it was one of those perfect days. the sun was dappled through the trees. the air was warm but not hot. and the studio was drenched in light. but i set up my little workshop on the porch. i spent the afternoon sewing baby quilt tops. the big maple shading the work table. the scent of spirea and peonies blowing past every little while. i took photos of my outdoor sewing room from the back window. and my indoor sewing room looking in the same window from the porch. and then photos of quilts hanging on my rope clothesline to list on etsy.
i had lots of little thoughts that would have been the basis of a much better entry tonight. but i can only think of how much i loved working today. and how fortunate i am to love my work so hard.
since christmas i've been doing alot of paper stuff. the kind of work that i can lose myself in for days and days with piles of yellowed pages fluttering all around me. but last week i made a few quilts. and realized how it balances me to make a few quilts a week. i have a bright one listed on etsy. and a neutral one as well. quilts make me happy.
