do you remember the feeling of sitting cross-legged on the floor figuring out the intricacies of a puzzle? concentrating and squirming and biting your lip. i love seeing children work at puzzles. they exude a positive happy confidence. puzzles are never frightening. not even the difficult ones. puzzles inspire me.
I love all of your posts, Annette, and mostly read them a few at a time instead of daily. I would've said Happy Birthday to Edgar on his day but I hope you can give him a little belated birthday treat today? :-) I love the puzzle in your photo today! Is this an old family photo?
it's so nice to hear from you monique. i hope you're enjoying toronto. and i'm glad you're enjoying the blog. i love writing it. i took the photo you asked about a couple of nights ago at my in-laws house. it's our lovely little niece.
the quilts i make blend a grandmother's ideals with a fresh youthful flair. there is a nostalgia for seasons past combined with hopefulness for a bright full future. I write little stories in my mind as I make the quilts. sometimes they become actual stories. and sometimes I share them here.
