a cold november morning.  i'm eager to move into the studio.  but there are so many little chores that demand me first thing in the day.  the cats make me jealous.  they sleep curled on blankets or the heat vents.  and i want to just read by the fire with a cat warm on my feet. but the pull of the studio is stronger.  i'm listening to 'great expectations' now.  and the literary quilts are going smaller today.  i'm thinking they'll be more of a lap size.  the perfect size to stretch over you while reading.

the cozy and warm studio is open again today from 11 until 6.

  1. Are you open to the public between 11 and 6? I might get time to come see your work. Where is the studio?

  4. There is nothing more cozier than a comfortable rocking chair, a lap quilt, a good book and a cup of something warm to drink in the winter and maybe a light dusting of snow. Sigh...a perfect day/evening.

  5. Great photo of the ocean! I coincidently read "Great expectation", as well. It's an intriguing story, isn't it? Quilts with favourite colours are also warm for hearts, I think.
Stay warm and have a nice weekend.

  7. Edging into Summer here makes the thought of a warm cat a little stifling.. so I'll settle for a cat under a tree next to me.. maybe a Gin and Tonic too ... I've recently discovered the podcast "Radiolab" whilst it's no Great Expectations it has me HOOKED. It's not often that I HIGHLY recommend people have a listen (different tastes and all that) but I have found it to be the perfect sewing companion of late. Maybe you'd enjoy it too? Anyhooo.. have brilliant week :-) xx
