beauty is created without thought. that is my opinion, my experience. beauty emerges and just is. there is no explanation. it simply works. beauty isn't manufactured, mass produced, decided upon. it simply exists and floats along confidently above all the attempts to determine how to have it. there is no formula. and trying harder rarely means truer beauty. i never consider why something is beautiful. i just know when i'm drawn to it. and am not surprised when i'm the only one who sees it's beauty. for beauty is not a consensus. it's complexity orbits around the tactile and visual and emotional, whirling from everything i've seen and touched and loved.

Hello Annette:
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting proposition you pose here on the nature of beauty. We should certainly agree that beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder but, sadly, we find that fewer people seem to spend time stopping and staring long enough to give 'beauty' a chance!
i agree, jane and lance.
ReplyDeletei find it most unfortunate that more and more, people attempt to make aesthetic choices that others will agree with or will be impressed by.....and that is what i believe mucks up the process.
what you wrote i consinder as beautiful. it wakes feelings in me. i am drawn to it. i want to read it again. and again. i don`t want to figure out why. its just tha way it is ... thank you for always inspiring
