the wind is wild. my favorite tree that sits outside our library window, and our bedroom window above, is being shaken and torn by it's force. i am lying in the dark, covered with a knitted wool blanket, listening to the lonely sounds of a wheezing night. the windows shudder, the sound of glass and wood doing a dark shimmy. i haven't been alone in days. so in the middle of this groaning night, i am groggy and snuffly and happy to listen to the gusts of silence around me.

  1. I hear you. I love company, but without alone-time (me-time) I burn out quickly. I hope you feel better soon!

  3. It is windy here as well, and I kind of like it. I like a bit of drama, I think. Wien everything is too smooth for too logg, it Can be boring. I have a day off from my Work to day, I am alene, and I like it! I loved your photo, rather dramatic!

  5. Alone time is wonderful time and in the midst of raging wind even if I am with others I feel the silence and being "alone". There is nothing better than being curled up in bed in the dark and listening to the wind howl and the weather do her dance!

  7. I guess we all agree that the howling wind and creaking of the house is somehow comforting. Snuggled up with warm blankets in the quiet of the night is a great time to give way to your thoughts freely without interruptions.
